After the completion of his education, he found himself taking on a few high powered jobs at some of the largest and most popular companies in the airline industry. Hughes Airwest, Trans World Airlines (TWA), Republic Airlines – all three would at one time or another appoint him as a vice president. An inspired software programmer, Nicholas’ pioneering designs for airline computer programs are most likely his greatest contribution to the industry.

He is most famous for a project for US Airways, his airplane maintenance applications that are now used by almost all air carriers. He turned his focus next to taking and recording reservations. For both room and flight bookings he pioneered programs to take on much of the work that had been involved until this approach. Continuing to innovate, he coded a networked system to automate ticket sales – once again making come about a super duper application no one else had managed to get their hands on before he eventually went for it.

He has even been appointed to quite a number of positions unconnected to software development as well. Mr Bredimus was division manager for American Express’ renowned IT department, established Bredimus Systems in the early nineties, and had the honor of being appointed the first president of AMR Travel Services.
