As a businessman, Naveen Jain has been in the industry for a very long time, two decades to be exact. He grew up in India where he was educated and received his undergraduate engineering degree from the Indian Institute of Technology in Roorkee. He later on obtained his Master’s degree at the Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI). Transferring to the United States, Jain focused on tapping the then up and coming IT industry.
He first worked at the Burroughs Company in New Jersey before he went to work for Bill Gates at Microsoft Corporation. He was an entry-level employee at first, but after showing great potential and exceptional leadership abilities, Jain slowly climbed up the corporate ladder during and proceeded to head projects like the launching of OS/2, Windows 95 and the Microsoft Network (MSN).
He left the company in 1996 to found his first business venture, InfoSpace. InfoSpace is a software-developing company focused on providing websites such as AOL and MSN with search engine services and web content like horoscopes, stock quotes and weather updates. He led the company to growth for six straight years before leaving. Together with some of his fellow workers, he founded Intelius Inc in 2003.
His new IT company focused on offering services related to information organization. Through the company’s services, people are empowered and informed to make the right decisions with regards to day-to-day matters like hiring nannies through services like people background checks and people search.
Jain has continuously excelled in every category and business he ventured in. Together with this personal excellence, Intelius continues to grow and expand in terms of popularity and service. This is a testament to the quality of leadership that Naveen Jain has consistently provided the company.
