We Offer B&B in Laxton
Laxton is a small village in N. Nottinghamsire, dating from 1066.
Visitors can see the site of the castle at the outskirts of the village, and see the areas best preserved motte and bailey castle.
You can also go to the beautiful, and beautiful, church which dates back to early 12th century and is still regularly used.
Yet, what makes the village of Laxton really unique is its continued use of the open farming system.
The village is the last remaining open farming system in the UK and one can explore the area on your own or take a tour with a local, that we can organise if you so wish.
There is an information centre in Laxton with free admission and lots more information about Laxton and its history.
In the centre of Laxton is the pub where one can discover cracking value, local ales, and amiable locals who will gladly tell you a tale or two.
The Goat House at Ivy Cottage is in the village and dates back over 200 years.
It has recently been refurbished to a very high level, we offer excellent value for money b and b with one double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a family bathroom.
