Profiting From Second Tier Pay Per Click Search Engines

Filed under: Uncategorized @ 9:38 pm

Once you venture into the world of Pay Per Click advertising, you’ll soon discover that the marketplace is sharply divided between tier 1 Search Engines (Google and Overture), and everyone else. While it’s difficult to imagine a comprehensive, successful Pay Per Click Advertising campaign that doesn’t include the major players, companies that limit themselves to Google and Overture may be missing out on profitable traffic.

Defining Tier 1 And Tier 2 Search Engines:

Two things separate Google and Overture from the rest of the Pay Per Click Search Engines. The big players deliver more traffic, and the quality of the clicks is often better. Simply put, if you advertise on Google and Overture your ad will be seen by more people, and these people are more likely going to buy from you. This is why its difficult to ignore the big players when crafting your Pay Per Click Advertising strategy. However, if you’re willing to put in the effort, you’ll often discover it’s the smaller, lesser known, Search Engines that ultimately deliver the most profitable traffic to your site.

The Downside Of Being Big:

Ironically, the same factors that make Google and Overture essential to any Pay Per Click Advertising campaign are also the reasons it’s becoming increasingly difficult for small and medium size companies to generate profitable traffic from the top tier Search Engines.

Nearly every company doing Pay Per Click Advertising is using Google and Overture, meaning you’re competing against virtually every company remotely connected with your industry for your keywords. As competition for your keywords increases your prices rise, and your profits fall. Both Google and Overture have hundreds of thousands of advertisers, causing keywords in some competitive industries to sell for over $10.00 per click! As this trend continues small and medium size companies will be forced to explore alternative sources of traffic if they hope to maintain their profit margins on their Pay Per Click Advertising campaigns.

The other downside of working with the big Search Engines is they tend to focus their customer support resources on their big customers. This can make it difficult for smaller companies to get help optimizing their campaigns, generating lists of keywords or creating compelling ad copy.

Thankfully, there are several smaller Search Engines who can fill the void by delivering high quality Search traffic at an affordable price.

The Best Of The Rest:

Once you expand your horizons beyond Google and Overture, and begin running tests on some smaller Search Engines, you’ll find wide discrepancies in traffic quality and volume, software functionality and customer support. When deciding which smaller Search Engines to work with we recommend focusing on traffic quality as the key criteria. If your clicks convert into customers, it’s easier to put up with the challenges that come with working with the smaller Search Engines.

Lycos AdBuyer consistently delivers high quality traffic, but you may have difficulty generating the volume you need for some of your keywords. Their customer support is top notch, but their software isn’t as user friendly as Google or Overture’s. We recommend Lycos as a good source of incremental Search traffic at competitive rates.

FindWhat.Com does a better job generating traffic volume (they are the third largest Pay Per Click Search Engine), and their overall traffic quality is decent. They do a good job supporting their customers, but their software lacks some key features to help users easily manage their campaigns, and track the ROI for each ad and keyword. We highly recommend testing FindWhat. They are the largest of the second tier players, and can be an important contributor to the success of your Pay Per Click Advertising strategy.

Enhance Interactive and Search123 are two other smaller Search Engines we recommend based on a combination of traffic volume and quality. Both are still building their networks, and continually improving their software. You can still find good bargains for your keywords on these Search Engines as they are still relatively unknown.

Summary:

In todays vast World Wide Web your potential customers could be searching for your products on hundreds of different sites. In a perfect world you would serve up an ad whenever, and wherever somebody was looking for what you sell. Using a combination of Google, Overture, and as many smaller Search Engines as you can test, you will increase the chances that your ad will be there when your prospects are ready to buy.

Smaller Search Engines generally offer cheaper cost per clicks, and better customer support than Google and Overture. As with many aspects of Pay Per Click Advertising, the only way to tell if these smaller Engines will work for you is to give them a test. A small investment in your time and money may ultimately uncover a great new source of profitable traffic, and improve the overall metrics of your Pay Per Click Advertising campaigns.

Medical volunteer Anthony Loeff is reporting screen readers for people who are blind

Filed under: Uncategorized @ 2:27 pm

The console-based Oralux Linux distribution ships with three screen-reading environments: Emacspeak, Yasr and Speakup. This interpretation is then represented to the user with text-to-speech, sound icons, or a braille output. Screen reader choice is contentious: differing priorities and strong preferences are common. There are also open source screen readers, such as the Linux Screen Reader for GNOME and NonVisual Desktop Access for Windows.

The rest have some vision, from light perception alone to relatively good acuity. Further, using a screen reader is, according to some users, considerably more difficult than using a GUI and many applications have specific problems resulting from the nature of the application. Recent versions of Microsoft Windows come with the rather basic Narrator. While Apple Mac OS X includes VoiceOver, a more feature-rich screen reader. The Macintosh OS also comes with a built-in screen reader, called VoiceOver. Only a small fraction of this population, when compared to the sighted community, have Internet access.

Experimental approaches in sensory substitution are beginning to provide access to arbitrary live views from a camera.

Increasingly, screen readers are being bundled with operating system distributions. Approximately 11 percent of those deemed legally blind, by any measure, have no vision. Therefore functionality remains limited compared to equivalent desktop applications, the major benefit is to increase the accessibility of said websites. The movement towards greater web accessibility is opening a far wider number of websites to adaptive technology, making the web a more inviting place for visually impaired surfers. A screen reader is a software application that attempts to identify and interpret what is being displayed on the screen. Web browsers, word processors, icons and windows and email programs are just some of the applications used successfully by screen reader users. Later versions of Microsoft Windows include an Accessibility Wizard and Magnifier for those with partial vision, and Microsoft Narrator, a simple screen reader. Access technology such as screen readers and Screen magnifiers enable the blind to use mainstream computer applications. The primary audience for such applications is those who have difficulty reading because of learning disabilities or language barriers. Linux distributions for the blind include Oralux and Adriane Knoppix.

The open source GNOME desktop environment long included Gnopernicus and now includes Orca. The latter developed in part by Knopper who has a visual impairment.

Most legally blind people 70 percent do not use computers. Screen readers can be assumed to be able to access all display content that is not intrinsically inaccessible.

Screen readers are a form of assistive technology potentially useful to people who are blind, visually impaired, or learning disabled, often in combination with other AT such as screen magnifiers. A persons choice of screen reader is dictated by many factors, including platform and the role of organizations like charities, schools, and employers.

Bathroom Remodeling Projects

Filed under: Uncategorized @ 6:42 am

Many older houses have a bathroom that could use some updating. You can create a bathroom remodeling project to completely re-vamp your room, or simply add a few key pieces to bring it back to life. The rage in designer bathroom is to create a look where the water for the sink flows from a faucet mounted in the wall and the bath water runs out of a faucet in the ceiling. Showers contain options for steam showers and aromatherapy with adjustable body spray nozzles. Don’t forget the luxury of a heated floor so your feet don’t get cold while you walk around in the morning.
If these luxuries aren’t in the budget for your bathroom remodeling project, don’t worry. You can bump up the pamper factor slightly by getting a heater for the bathroom. You can buy lights or fans with heaters built in. Imagine flipping on the heater and jumping in the shower. Instead of shivering when you are drying off after your shower, you are enjoying a warm toasty room to get dressed. New bathroom accessories may even add some new life to your bathroom. Organize a cluttered sink by purchasing baskets in different sizes to keep all your hygiene products together.

Discover a Large Dildo for a Lovely Orgasm with your Lady

Filed under: Uncategorized @ 4:25 am

Some men have a difficult time keeping a boner and some women have extraordinarily long sex drives, meaning it takes the lady a long time to come. Because of this contrast in sex drives, sex might become a boring and undesirable love making session. That’s why huge dildos might well be helpful. If the bloke shoots early in the sexual session, or even if the female just takes longer than her bloke, he can continue to penetrate the lady with the dildo. That way all sexual fun doesn’t end. It gives him substantial time to recharge his energy and helps her happy. Hence when he is set to come back into the sexual session, the lady will still be aroused enough to accept him.

Your most stimulation zone is your thoughts. And as much as lots of females won’t admit this, the penis is a symbol of fertility, no matter how great or small, it is still associated with fertility. Penetrating your partner with a slim dildo can often make a fantasy of power fun reality.

Some folks savour the sensation of feeling full in their vagina or bottom. Whenever a sex aid such as a juicy dildo, penetrates the vagina or bottom, the muscles contract around it. Lots of females see the tightening of these muscles to be exceedingly enjoyable. Get on the tables with the Best Sex Toys from sex bomb.

Your New Car – How to Choose Among Priorities and Preferences

Filed under: Uncategorized @ 10:32 pm

Choosing a new car is a huge decision, and this decision
often becomes extremely difficult as you try to balance all
the options and prices. Cars vary widely between makes and
models, and often the shopper who isn’t quite car savvy
feels overwhelmed by the possibilities.

I had the same problem. I was in this horrible car
accident, and suddenly and totally unexpectedly, I was
searching for a new car. I quickly learned my priorities in
a car: safety, mileage, and durability.

Safety is the number one concern when purchasing a new
car. After being in a horrendous accident, I was extremely
concerned about the safety options in my new car.

In the end, I chose a car that had side and ceiling
airbags to protect my body from harm were I to be in
another accident where a car hit my door. Front airbags are
very important, but oftentimes, accidents happen on the
sides of your car and your front airbag is no help at all.

Other safety features include being able to turn off the
passenger side front airbag if a smaller person or older
child needs to sit in the front seat.

In addition, you can look for cars with skid control; with
this option, your car’s computer takes over the brakes when
you begin to hydroplane so that you keep going forward
rather than heading into a tailspin.

I must admit I was skeptical about this option on my car,
but it really does work! You can even feel the computer
take over your car when you start sliding; it’s a real
comfort!

With rising gas prices, the mileage of the car you’re
considering should be a concern. A car with high gas
mileage can save you thousands of dollars each year,
especially if you’re living in a big city where you are
often sitting in traffic.

Save yourself time and money at the pump by purchasing a
car that gets at least 25 to 30 miles to the gallon.

Finally, durability is an important option to consider
when purchasing a car. There are some cars that have lasted
their owners over 200,000 miles! One way to find out about
longevity is to talk to people you know and search
automobile web sites to see which cars are lasting the
longest.

You can also purchase a car with leather seats, which
although it’s higher priced in the beginning, it’s easy to
care for and lasts forever. Durability comes in many forms
so be sure to check out all aspects of your potential car
to decide if it can stand up to your needs and standards.

When you go out to look for cars, I suggest looking online
first. Many websites allow you to create your own car with
your desired features. All the needed information is
available online, so narrow it down to a few cars and go to
the lots and look at those.

This will save you a lot of hassle from salesman until you
get an idea of what you’re really interested in. After you
have some options, go out to your nearest dealer and take
your potential car out for a spin.

Magneto-Optical Technology: The UnSub Storage System (Part 1)

Filed under: Uncategorized @ 7:55 pm

Magneto-Optical storage systems have been around for quite some time but have not penetrated the consumer market like the average 3.5″ hard drive has. Medical institutions, US military facilities, and many businesses use the MO technology to reliably backup important documents as additional and preventative measures for retaining confidential information. However, the average consumer has historically not purchased MO technology to benefit their own storage system.

In this article, we’re going to take a look at MO technology, and how its reliability is actually just as good as…and better, than the average 3.5″ hard drive.

Magneto-Optical Technology

Basically put, a laser beam (tuned at around 680nm and 0.7 microns in diameter) is projected onto the media disk (made mostly of polycarbonate), where the beam heats a particular layer on the disk to Curie Point (the temperature at which a magnetic substance loses its coercive force, which is 200 C), thereby enabling the magnet within the drive itself to easily contour the polarization of the disk. Once this is done, the drive can quickly switch the polarization of the magnet, creating a data mark on the disk. When reading a disc, the laser beam is polarized and the reflected light is interpreted into data.

MO Technology is kind of like a cooking recipe. For example, to make different shapes of candy, you have to heat the sugar to a point where you can move the candy base around and shape it with your hands or molds, before it gets cold. This is what the laser inside MO drives are doing. They are heating up an area on the disk so that when a magnet is brought within a specific distance, the magnet can change the properties of the disk. Then, when the disk is not in use, the disk is “hard”, and is able to be read over and over without fear of data contamination due to the way it was recorded.

Reliability Of MO Technology

Each MO disk is certified to be read over 1,000,000 times. Now, chances are, you will be moving your data off an MO disk before you reach the one-million mark. And even if you do not, chances are again you probably won’t have even reached the half-way point.

In addition to the high repetitive rating of the MO disks, the disks also have high tolerances to temperature. The Curie Point of MO disks is 200 degrees centigrade, which means anything below that temperature will not affect the data on the disk. Try to operate a typical hard drive in temperatures like these. We’re talking 392 degrees Fahrenheit.

Why Is MO Technology Mostly Unknown To The Consumer?

For a technology which is superior and more reliable than the current hard drive in your computer, this is certainly an interesting question. However, we find the answer in terms of marketing sensationalism over the years. MO Technology is not as dynamic as regular magnetic drives, and currently do not have the ever-increasing capacities as a typical 3.5-inch magnetic drive over a short time span. 500 Gigabyte drives are now found online and in your favorite computer store. But try to find a Fujitsu MO drive and you’ll receive several scratchings of the head from sales associates when you mention the technology and the model numbers.

Why?

It’s simple marketing and what sells. Larger numbers sell. Why buy a drive for $280 and a 5-pack of 5-2.3GB MO disks for another $100, when you can buy a 300GB hard drive for around $250? It’s that kind of thinking which can get you into trouble. Many of us need to understand that smaller capacities can actually be better for us, and actually cost us less money in the long run.

In the next part of the article, we’ll take a further look into MO Technology.

Me and My Swivel Sweeper

Filed under: Uncategorized @ 6:54 pm

I’m the mother of four children, two of which are under 5 which means I’m constantly having to sweep the floor, vacuum, and mop. This can get very tiring after a bad day at home when kids are sick, its summertime and there just doesn’t seem to be enough hours in the day. But I’ve come across something truly wonderful, that’s my swivel sweeper.

What is a swivel sweeper? This is a lightweight cordless vacuum in a way. You roll it across the floor and it picks up everything from popcorn seeds, spilled sugar to even cereal. This works on just about any mess. Imagine a plant gets dumped over by the dog, or your child playing in the dirt. Simply pick up your plant grab your swivel sweeper and begin clean up. You won’t have to get out your broom, dust pan, vacuum, steam cleaner and mop.

The best part is this sweeper works on all types of floors. Carpets that don’t have those big strands, wooden floors, tile and even stairs. Clean up isn’t hard either, if you are like me you’ll need to get the hair out that gets stuck in it. I am constantly shedding and since this picks up everything it picks that up too. Take the bottom off and unravel the hair and you’ll be as good as new again.

Writer’s Block — It’s All In The Mind

Filed under: Uncategorized @ 9:48 am

Did you ever stop to think that writer’s block is all in the mind? That’s right. Our mind is
making the decision that we can’t write another word. When writer’s block comes to
visit us we can go for days and months without writing another word. We want to write
but something stops us. So let’s give our minds some positive energy. Let’s keep the
positive energy going so that the words will keep on flowing. Here are some ideas on
how to counterattack writer’s block.

1. Maintain a positive attitude
When you experience writer’s block what are you thinking at that moment? Negative
thoughts probably. Are you saying things like, “I’m too busy.” “I can’t do it.” “My work
isn’t that good.” Those are powerful words and you are right, if you think negatively you
will act negatively. Negative words sap the energy right out of you and your mind shuts
down.

Solution: Why not positively change your attitude. Instead of negative thoughts be
positive: “I can do this.” “My readers will love my work.” “My enthusiasm will keep the
adrenalin going so I can write.” “I’ll get to my other project today at 3:00 pm so I can
keep on writing.” Say kind things to yourself everyday before you start writing. Be kind
to yourself and your creativity will flow.

2. You are stuck.
The words just won’t come out anymore. You are sitting in your writing area and
nothing is happening. This is so typical of us writers. We get so frustrated with
ourselves when the words stop flowing. Well isn’t it time we got over it?

Solution: It might be time to give your mind a break. If you can’t write anymore take a
short break. Get your favorite beverage. Take a bathroom break. S-t-r-e-t-c-h your body.
Walk around the block (this is a good one for your health and creative thinking). Better
yet, take your writing project to the park and spend a few hours there thinking and
writing anything that comes to your mind. Get back to writing as quickly as possible.

3. Be your own therapist.
Are you feeling anxious? Fearful? Is it stopping you from writing? It’s the stopping that
hurts, not the writing.

Solution: Be your own best therapist. Write about how you feel at this moment. Keep
on writing. Get it out of your system. Keep on writing until you have no more to say.
Whew! Now don’t you feel better?

Now that the anxious feeling is over, it’s time to take a little refreshing break and get
back to writing your book. In a few days go back to your “therapist’s notes” and you
probably will wonder why you allowed yourself to get so overwrought. If you still feel
there is value to those panic attacks then you had better make an appointment with a
Therapist.

4. Self-Doubt creeps in.
Yesterday you were on “cloud-nine”–excited and passionate about your book. Today
you are not so sure. All the sudden you have some doubts. If you have any doubt then
you are in trouble.

Solution: Think of some of your past accomplishments for a few moments. Read a few
pages of something you wrote in the past that you really liked. “Wow, did I write that?”
you think. Of course you did, you are a great writer. Hold those positive thoughts for a
few moments. Take a few deep breaths as you accept your great writing. Now
enough–get back to writing because there is no doubt that you ARE a great writer.

Now don’t you feel better? Next time you get writer’s block, remember that it’s all in the
mind.

Ebay Business Opportunity – Man or Mouse – Get Out of the RAT RACE

Filed under: Uncategorized @ 8:19 pm

What is it about running a business that fears many people – is it the initial start up cost, is it not knowing the business basics or is it the thought of the financial freedom that comes with it because that is exactly what you get after involving yourself with the Ebay Business Opportunity. Financial freedom is there for the taking if you want it.

Two of the fear factors mentioned above are partially behind why people choose to ignore the Ebay Business Opportunity. Not knowing how to run a business and worry about start up costs can be put to the back of your mind right now if you crave financial freedom. This is definitely a win win situation if you want it to be.

There are no large amounts of money to hand over to start up and as for knowledge – well you learn as you go along. This is exactly how other Ebay entrepreneurs began and are still reaping in the rewards
The Ebay Business Opportunity is not just for the hungry who have decided enough is enough and wants out of the rat race – it is also a second income for many people on a budget.

Remember the Ebay Business Opportunity is a risk free venture so what are you waiting for – all that is required from you is sheer determination and a little time. Any knowledge on how to run your Ebay business can be found through the Ebay support system or from fellow Ebay members. Beginners gather information by visiting the forums. You will find many Ebay entrepreneurs willing to share what they know with you but remember if you are competition for them then you may not get the help you need. The internet is larger than life so what you need to know can be found elsewhere online.

If you are new to the Ebay Business Opportunity and money is your biggest worry then fret not – have a trial run selling second hand goods that you may have stored in the loft, attic or garage. What you see as trash will bring in cash. So before you go discarding any old items for the refuse man think on how it may be of use to someone else.

The cost to list items on Ebay can vary thus depending on the size of the item you are selling – for example if it be a car then expect to pay more than that of a salt and pepper set. Your dummy run at selling for the first time can include book sales even an e-book on a hobby of yours – the list is endless as to what you can sell. The Ebay Business Opportunity will have restrictions and guidelines on certain articles or items they allow to be sold on the auctions – as in i.e. offensive materials etc.

What other business besides the Ebay Business Opportunity gives you the chance to change the way you live without taking away your second income if you are already holding down a couple of jobs to make ends meet.
